Major League Soccer outfit San Jose Earthquakes are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign midfielder Eric Remedi, according to various news outlets. The Quakes are close to getting the deal over the line after spending most parts of the last few days locked in negotiations with the midfielder, his agent, and his club. Reports on Friday made headlines as they indicated that the midfielder is set to quit the Quakes’ league rivals Atlanta United and complete the move.
Although there has been no confirmation of the talks from either team, it is believed that a deal is close and only subject to both clubs reaching an agreement on the transfer fee, and the player also agreeing personal terms. Remedi has been one of Atlanta United’s most important players since joining the club back in 2018 and proved his importance to the team as he helped them clinch the MLS Cup in the year of his arrival.
